Plane

Written when a very close friend moved to the USA, this song expresses the loss I felt after they left.

[1]
Every time I look at You
I’m at a loss of what to do.
Yeah, and every time I see your face
I’m taken to another place.
And every time I find your smile
I’m lost for a while.
Yeah, every time I look at You.

[Chorus]
Yeah, every time a plane goes by
I run to my window
To see if I can see you waving from the sky
Saying, ‘I’m home, I’m home,
I’ll never leave you again’,
But I’m all alone
And the plane flies by.

[2]
And every time we say goodbye
I want to stay another line
In this play that we are writing together.
Oh, and every time I touch your hand
I’m flying to wonderland…
Yeah, every time we say goodbye.

[Chorus]
Yeah, every time a plane goes by
I run to my window
To see if I can see you waving from the sky
Saying, ‘I’m home, I’m home,
I’ll never leave you again’,
But I’m all alone
And the plane flies by.
