I wrote this song shortly after my Nan’s death. It looks at her life and my memories of her, and also touches on the subject of eternity and how I know I will see her again.

[Intro]
All alone, I’m all alone,
I’m scared that I’ll be broken without you, hey.
All alone, but – I’m not alone,
Coz somehow you are here beside me:
I’m not alone.

[1]
Walking through the park, I remember you;
On into the town, I see your smiling face
In every window that I pass,
But I’m just seeing into the looking glass.

[2]
Eating at a restaurant, I remember you –
Salmon and cakes; I remember you.
And I wish that I had known you more.
And it’s too late now, but I know this for sure

[Chorus]
Yes I know that one day I’ll see you
And I know that I’ll see you in the sun
And I know that for you, the race is fin’ly run
And I know that we are free.

[3]
Generous Heart, I remember you
Far too smart! – I remember you
And you knew not the miles between us
But carry on I know I must.

[Final Chorus]
And I know that one day I’ll see you
And I know that I’ll see you in the sun
And I know that for you, the race is fin’ly run
And I know that we are free.
Yes, I know that you are free.
