Kimee Cleaton is a singer, musician, teacher, composer and conductor living in Shropshire with her husband and three children.
She is an outstanding vocal teacher and conductor, and is currently Musical Director for three community choirs: Craven Arms Men’s Chorus, Halfway House Ladies’ Choir, and Little Hereford Voices. She is always pleased to receive enquiries from pupils looking for a new teacher, or choirs/ensembles that are wanting to source a new or stand-in Musical Director. As well as voice, she also teaches piano to an advanced level, and occasionally other instruments (flute, recorder & guitar) on request.
She is an organist at St. Laurence’s Church, Church Stretton, and also leads the band in contemporary sung worship in family services.
As a composer, Kimee predominantly writes and arranges music for choirs and solo voice. In addition, she has two pieces published in the Trinity College London Flute and Clarinet Pieces books for the 2017-2020 syllabus. Choral commissions are welcomed.
On occasion, Kimee sings and plays in various other choirs and concerts, both as a soloist, ensemble member and accompanist. She sings on a regular basis with Sine Nomine, under the direction of Andy Cope, in cathedrals around the country.
Kimee is a versatile and enthusiastic musician with a love for many different genres of music. She also has past experience in and a love of theatre including musicals, drama and dance. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you are interested in collaborating with or booking her for an event.
